Psychiatric care across every stage of life

From early childhood through adulthood, treatment is built around the person in front of us — not a diagnostic category. Available in person in North County San Diego and by secure telehealth throughout California.

01

Adult Psychiatry

Comprehensive evaluation and ongoing treatment for adults navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar spectrum disorders, OCD, trauma-related symptoms, sleep disruption, burnout, and difficult life transitions. Care includes diagnostic clarification, medication management where indicated, and close coordination with your therapist.

02

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Developmentally informed care for children and teenagers, delivered with real attention to family dynamics, school pressure, and the difference between a phase and a problem. Parents are involved as partners; teenagers are treated with the privacy and respect that keeps them engaged in their own care.

03

Extended Diagnostic Evaluation

A thorough initial assessment — substantially longer than a standard intake — covering developmental and medical history, family history, prior treatment response, current functioning, and collateral information from school or other clinicians where relevant. The output is a clear formulation you can actually understand, not a code on a claim form.

Extended intake Rating scales Collateral history Written formulation Second opinions

Psychiatric Medication Management

Careful initiation, titration, and long-term monitoring of psychiatric medication, with explicit discussion of expected benefit, side effects, alternatives, and how long a fair trial should take. Equally important: recognizing when medication is not the right answer, and saying so.

Telehealth Consultations

Secure, private video appointments for both adult and pediatric patients — the same clinical standard, without the drive. Available to anyone physically located in California at the time of the appointment, including college students who leave the area during the school year.

Collaboration & Care Coordination

Psychiatric care rarely happens in isolation. With your consent, Dr. Hariri communicates directly with your therapist, pediatrician, primary care physician, school counselor, or educational psychologist — because a plan that everyone understands is a plan that works.

Scope

What this practice does not provide

Being clear about scope saves everyone time — and if your needs fall outside it, you will receive a thoughtful referral rather than a dead end.

Not offered

Emergency or crisis services

This is an outpatient practice without 24/7 coverage. In an emergency, call or text 988, or call 911. For urgent but non-emergency needs, contact the office directly by phone.

Not offered

Court-ordered or forensic evaluations

Custody evaluations, disability determinations, fitness-for-duty assessments, and other forensic work require a different specialist and a different relationship.

Not offered

Primary substance use treatment

Care for co-occurring psychiatric conditions is available, but patients needing detoxification or a primary addiction program will be referred to appropriate specialty care.
